The ever popular Blackpool 10k fun run on the promenade saw an excellent turn out from Thornton Cleveleys in a strong northerly head wind to run back into.
Leading the way was Matt Walsh 37.30 followed by Andy (Brave heart) Fairbairn 41.02, Tony Codling 43.32, Brian Cumpsty 44.50, Ben Brennan 46.21. First ladies for TCRC were Jenny Clark 46.24, Gillian Pryor 50 mins. Newcomer Joe Tyldesley enjoyed his run in 50.35.Other times were Dave Jones 54.51, Andy Mason 55.25, Sarah Scott 56.01, Georgina Apperley 56.50, Sandra Gilchrist 58.34, Janine McNeill 58.51, Andrew Bijsterbosch 60.21, Kirsty Waywell 61 min, Mark Neath 61.21, Stan Jackson 69.56, Sharon Randall 71.30 and Lisa Young 75.11.
Later on Brian Cumpsty had his second race of the day in the Beach 10k and finished in 44.43.
T C R C were represented in the Blacksticks 10k by Helen Jolly who enjoyed her run in 56.31.
Terry Poole travelled to Kent on the Saturday to compete in the Bewl water marathon at Lamberhurst and finished in 4.11.01. On Sunday after the long drive back he tackled the Morecambe half marathon and came home in 1.49.27 .
In the latest race for the Fell and Trail championship Husband and wife Malc and Julie Sherwood competed in the Last Drop Loop near Bolton. Julie once again loving the terrain and finishing in a fine 66.53 while Malc came back in 83.19.
